It’s also a great opportunity to support a local event which has recently seen several young competitors graduate from these shores onto the world surfing stage.

Not only will surfing be on display, there will also be half-pipe demonstrations from local and regional skaters, the famous bikini contest, live music, arts & craft, local food and more.

If you’re visiting the island, this is a fantastic opportunity to watch talented local surfers at a world class surf break. If you live here, skip work tomorrow and come on down and lime.

Waves have been good recently, and there may be some more North swell hitting Saturday; so it could get interesting out there for the competitors.

Watch out for Dane Mackie, Dannie Edghill, Chelsea Roett, Chelsea Tuach & Josh Burke, they all rip.

The BSA is also offering a live web cast so fans can keep up with all the action. But apart from that, there’s no excuse to not come out and support young surfers. There will also be a number of local vendors and entertainments on the beach to keep you entertained.
